We've been asked many times to make a smaller version of our air purifier, so here is the prototype of our Northbox MINI.
​
Using 2 Ikea Starkvind EPA12 filters and a bank of four P8 Arctic fans, it comes with a 12 volt CSA approved power supply, and a car lighter adapter. You can also use any battery pack that can supply 12 volts as seen in the photo.
​
Perfect for your car, dining rooms, shared desks or office desktop!
You can turn it on its side to direct clean air towards you while sitting at a desk.
​
Small size is ideal for travel.
​
We should have it ready for sale in a few days.

We've gotten rid of the wood corners, metal screws, hot glue and plastic corner moldings and replaced them all with friction fit corners that reduces the weight, allows easy assembly for kits and give it a smoother look too!
WILDFIRE SMOKE

There are now 92 active wildfires in the province of Alberta, 27 are out of control.
We've had a number of people buy our kits from BC and Alberta to help keep their indoor air clear of smoke particles.

Mitigation of wildfire smoke was one of the original applications of repurposing MERV13 furnace filters and box fans, eventually leading to the Corsi-Rosenthal Box!
​
We're going to do our best to provide our PC-fan based systems to anyone affected by this catastrophe.
DESKTOP SYSTEM

Somebody asked me to build a custom system that would blow clean air directly on a person sitting at a desk.
​
This was a very fun but challenging build! It uses a bank of 9 140mm Arctic PC fans suspended between a pre and post 3M Filtrete MPR1900 filter.
​
The concept is to create a bubble of clean air when you are sitting at a desk.
A very cool one-off project that could be worth pursuing as a more refined and producible device.
